Rand Paul digs up old Clinton-Lewinsky scandal: No matter how far a man urinates, the last drop always falls at his feet

Rand Paul, the Senator of Kentucky, sees himself as the GOP candidate for the US Presidential election of 2016 in the wake of Gov. Chris Christie’s Bridgegate scandal. Good strategy or lack of imagination, the Senator is focusing on Bill Clinton. Why is Rand Paul talking about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky? The Lewinsky scandal is old. Why dig up the past to make a point? Why it is hard for Americans to separate politicians’ private lives and politics?

Rand Paul is trying to attract women’s votes by painting the Clintons as the enemy of women rights. His approach can have the reverse effect based on his conservative view on women. As the Ashanti of Ghana say, “No matter how far a man urinates, the last drop always falls at his feet.”
