Obama, don’t attack Syria: Only the person who wears the shoe feels it when it pinches

Recent criticism about President Obama seeking congressional approval to attack Syria proves once again how the American media is obsessed by wars. Clearly the President of the United States doesn’t know what to do. If he attacks Syria without congressional approval, he will be blamed for any failure. Looking for approval, he is accused of dragging his feet.

War is a bad thing. American never experienced a modern war on its soil. It is hard to agree with Sarah Palin, that the United States prefers the fall of a dictator and favors Al-qaeda affiliated rebels. It is absurd!

The United States exports wars and gets involved in wars that do not necessarily serve the American people. Those who lived the horror of war would certainly advise America not to attack Syria. It is not Al Assad who will suffer the most but the people of Syria. As the Baoule of Ivory Coast say, “Only the person who wears the shoe feels it when it pinches.”
