North Korea: A child who fears a beating would never admit that he played with a missing knife

Despite the world’s condemnation of its bomb tests, North Korea has resumed its nuclear activity. Condemnations are just words, actions matter. North Korea is certainly an inspiration to Iran. The fear of not knowing what to expect as retaliation is certainly pushing the West to think twice before attacking N. Korea. Sanctions do not work as long N. Korea has its “big brother” and ally: China. Slowly but surely, the world is back into the cold world mentality: those with a nuclear weapon vs. those who dream of possessing it.

For sure N. Korea and Iran will never admit to building nuclear weapons. As the Hausa of Niger say, “A child who fears a beating would never admit that he played with a missing knife.”
