America is not governable with only two political parties as the debt ceiling debate has shown: The mother of twins is forced to sleep on her back

Americans whine about their politicians, but they have to remember that the politicians are elected by the people, not by God. The debt ceiling debate has shown the weakness of American democracy, the same model that ex-president Bush wanted to export to the world. America is not governable with only two political parties.

A budget deal has been reached by the Democrats and Republicans to save face in front of the world, a world that was watching anxiously. Failure would have put the world economy in trouble.

It is unclear who is the winner or loser in this deal between the Democrats and Republicans. The truth is that the real loser is the American people, especially the middle class people, because they will feel the pain of a quick-fix deal. As the Bakongo of Congo say, “The mother of twins is forced to sleep on her back.”
