America shouldn’t forget 9/11: Warm water never forgets that it was once cold

President Obama‘s visit to Ground Zero was a very symbolic gesture, and also a reminder of the danger of terrorism. For ten years, America has been in the process of healing, but, the fear will never disappear.

As human beings, we certainly feel some sympathy for Osama’s daughter, who witnessed the killing of her father. At the same time, when we think back on Osama’s cruelty in killing three thousand people, leaving their children without  fathers or mothers, it is fair to say that his killing was well deserved.

It is true that time sometimes makes us forget a painful memory. America shouldn’t forget 9/11. As the Igbo of Nigeria say, “Warm water never forgets that it was once cold.”
