US criticizes China for arrest of Ai Weiwei: A camel cannot see the crookedness of its neck

The unrest in the Arab world is making China paranoid. Lately, China is cracking down on its dissidents including the recent arrest of Ai Weiwei, a famous and respected artist known for his criticism of the Chinese government.
As usual, the US government was one of the first to criticize China. The Chinese government accused Washington of preaching. In reality, both countries abuse human rights. The Chinese government certainly abuses its own citizens but US military actions in wars (Afghanistan and Iraq) are inhumane as well. As the Berber of Algeria say, “A camel cannot see the crookedness of its neck.”
