A planned congressional hearing scheduled by Rep. Peter King on Muslims’ role in homegrown terrorism is under a lot of criticism. A rally to show discontentment about this wise move does not make any sense.

Americans are known for learning geography only in time of war, or to find out the origin of those arrested for terrorism on American soil.

It is so important that people wake up and see the danger America faces against the rising domestic terrorism. The 9/11 attack has shown that Allah was on the side of the terrorists. A perfect crime. Everything went as planned. If US lawmakers do not open their eyes, the US will become like England, where the sons of the immigrants born and raised in England turn against the country that gave shelter to their parents.

Let’s face it, let’s not pretend. How many come to America for a “better life,” get a good education, get a better job, but still hate America? Many argue that it is not the people of America but US foreign policy that they hate. How is it possible to love and hate at the same time? How it is possible to love Coca Cola and hate its bottle?

Rep. Peter King’s move for a hearing is a brave move and I hope it will not be politicized. There are certainly many good American Muslims, but if they stay silent against extremists, they will always be put in the same bag. If you are a Muslim American and prospering, why should you support those who want to hurt America? As the Baya of Congo say, “You should not pee where you sleep.”
