The Arab world has the best opportunity ever to end dictatorships in many of their countries. The Tunisian people have shown the example. It is like a fire in the jungle.

Egypt is burning now. Egypt is not Tunisia, but they have some similarities. I do not know how much it takes a dictator to quit and give up power. President Mubarak can choose to resign and leave the country or been overthrown by his people. Things can move quickly when revolution starts. Even President Sarkozy of France has admitted being surprised by the speed of change in Tunisia.

These revolutions are clearly a warning to President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen, President Muammar Kaddafi of Lybia, President Bouteflika of Algeria, and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. Repressing protesters will make things worse. As the people of Madagascar say, “When the ducks are quacking, the frogs take it as a warning.”
