Pope Benedict XVI has given a lesson on morals to Italian officials, especially Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, over the scandal that he paid a prostitute for sex. It is very rare to see the Pope stick his nose in a private matter.
While I do not support exchanging money for sex, the Vatican should look at its own scandals involving child abuse all around the world. Thank God for Mr Berlusconi, the Pope is not God. As the Arabs of Egypt say, “Leading by example is better than giving advice.”
