Good things never last long. The youngest victim of the Tucson shooting, Christina-Taylor Green, has inspired millions of us. This young girl, born on a day of tragedy–September 11, 2001–and dead on another day of tragedy, makes all of us think. A life cut short, she was a young girl with a promising future.

According to her father, her organs were donated to another little girl from Boston. The pain of John Green, her father, is shared by millions of us who are fathers. In times of tragedy, we ask God for explanations. We will never get an answer. The Westboro Baptist Church, known for protesting at funerals, certainly does not have a plausible explanation, saying that it’s God punishment for America. If God is behind tragedies, he could have saved Christina-Taylor’s life.

We just hope that her memory will stay forever and that America will keep her spirit alive. Unfortunately, as the Arabs of Tunisia say, “Life is made of two days. One which is sweet and the other is bitter.”
