Every day that passes, Wikileaks offers more revelations about world leaders. The latest news is of Omar Al Bashir (the Sudanese President accused of genocide in Darfur by the International Criminal Court). He has stolen near nine billion dollars of his country’s funds during his reign and hidden it in foreign banks.

When you think about it, and you question the causes of poverty in Africa, Africa’s own sons are the first to be blamed. If these African leaders had an option to hide stolen money on the moon, they would. Unfortunately for them, they have no choice than to hide it in foreign banks, which makes it easier to be traced.

Of course, the Sudanese government has denied these allegations. As the Berber of Morocco say, “Lying and stealing are next door neighbors.”
