Get along and get things done: Witch doctors do not sell their potions to each other

Have you been following the political circus in Washington lately? The Democrats and Republicans are already chewing each other up. They are still fighting about whether to extend the Bush tax cuts for all Americans and debating over the unemployment benefits that have expired.

In reality, both political parties are sharing power. The American people have sent a clear message to Washington in the November mid-term elections: work together and get things done. Each political party wants to score a point in favor of their party.

The two parties will find a temporary compromise for these urgent issues, but they certainly will hold the country hostage until the next presidential election. As the Makua of Mozambique say, “Witch doctors do not sell their potions to each other.”
