Mahmoud Abbas is courageous: You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try

The confrontational regime of Iran has already predicted the failure of talks between Palestinians and Israelis. Tension is high between the Palestinian authority and Teheran.

For sure, for the hard core Islamists, anyone who deals peacefully with Israel is seen as a traitor. The truth is, Israel will not be wiped off the world map, and diplomacy is the best approach to solve this complex and difficult crisis. How many times have peace talks between Israelis and Palestinians failed in the past? How many people have lost their lives in this conflict?

Mahmoud Abbas is courageous. He may or may not succeed but at least he tried to end the suffering of his people. Life in Palestine is worse than leaving in hell. As the Tuaregs of Niger say, “You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.”
