Times are hard for the Democrats right now. The chance of losing their majority in mid-term elections becomes greater every day. The latest news on the economy is bad, and the president’s job approval rating is under 50 percent.
The Democrat leadership’s idea of “bringing back” George W. Bush on TV ads as the one to blame for the bad economy is in bad taste. They cannot continuously blame George W. Bush for their failure, like a cook who blames the ingredients for bad cooking.
It is true that George W. Bush did not help his country’s economy; he left it in the hole. But, the Democrats must admit that, at this time in their presidency and leadership in Congress, the people of America will not stay quiet forever.
Time will tell how patient the American people are. I doubt very. Bringing the Republican party back to power in Congress will prove that people make the worse choice in desperate times. As the Hausa of Niger say, “Before you be begin to trade in blame look in the mirror.”
