On the 666th day of President Obama’s presidency, a Tea Party group called RetakeOurGov is planning to protest in a town called Hell, Michigan. The number 666 is supposedly the number of the devil. God help America!
 
Like a cult, the Tea Party movement is transforming itself into a folkloric movement. The movement needs to be careful comparing Obama’s presidency to the work of the devil. As the Swahili of Tanzania say, “Talk of the devil, and you’ll hear the rustle of his wings.”
