Newlywed Chelsea Clinton: Having beauty doesn’t mean understanding the perseverance of marriage.

One of the most publicized weddings of our time has happened: Chelsea Clinton married Marc Mezvinsky in Rhinebeck, New York.

Being the daughter of Hillary Clinton, a strong woman who has seen the lows and highs of marriage, Chelsea’s journey will certainly start by learning lessons about the challenges of marriage. Money cannot guarantee a successful marriage, as Larry King can attest.

Marc Mezvinsky is not Bill Clinton. Marriage starts as sweet as it can be. If you are lucky enough the sweetness will stay. If not, it can go from apple juice to vinegar. Nobody can tell what the perfect marriage is, especially in a country where the divorce rate is high. Hopefully, Chelsea has learned from Bill and Hillary Clinton, that despite difficulties in their marriage, they found a way to save it.

We wish Chelsea and Mark the best luck. As the Yoruba of Nigeria say, “Having beauty doesn’t mean understanding the perseverance of marriage.”
