Have you seen Rep. Weiner of New York on C-SPAN, throwing arrows at the Republicans for refusing to support a bill to give healthcare to the American heroes of 9/11, of whom we all have applauded their courage? Have they all forgotten the patriotism that these brave men and women have shown to the world even though they lost many of their camrades?

What is the Republican party about?  I thought they were patriotic, conservative, compassionate, and believed in God? How it is possible to let down the heroes?

In the voice and eyes of Rep. Anthony Weiner, I have seen anger and frustration. Common sense tells us that this is not a matter of Democrats vs. Republicans but one of human rights and recognition for their service to the nation.

America needs 100 Anthony Weiners in Congress to get things done. Unfortunately, many in congress are hidden under the shade of the American flag, claiming to be patriotic but in reality there for themselves. The GOP should know that obstructionism is a bad strategy. As the Oromo of Ethiopia say, “.To fight once shows bravery, but to fight all the time is stupid.”
