I’m not at all comfortable with the reasoning that building a mosque = more jihadists. We simply cannot accept that there is no such thing as a moderate Muslim, and that whole bit–”A mosque is like the soil” etc.–almost wrecks this.

That said, I like the thesis of this little essay, because I’ll agree that Mark Williams and Sarah Palin were right about this, and it’s nearly impossible for me to think I’ll ever say those words again. But why is it that only they will say what is so obviously true? You don’t need any sort of complex reasoning to know that you don’t build a mosque at Ground Zero. Here I’ll quote you again, and agree completely, that this “is certainly the most stupid, unbelievable decision that the city of New York can make.” Enough said.

Ironic that NYC suffers from the same staggering lack of awareness and intelligence as Mark Williams himself. In both cases, there has been an overwhelming sense of, “If someone has to tell you that this is a bad idea, then you’re really completely clueless.”
