Conviction in politics is rare. The newly-elected Sestak from Pennsylvania, who beat Senator Arlen Spector, is certainly a future star in the Democratic Party.
Despite the job offer by the White House to persuade him to quit the race against Spector, he did not hesitate to believe in himself and defeat the “Circumstantial Democrat” ex-GOP Senator. These are the type of people that America needs. But, in politics, people change–especially when they go to Washington, where they are surrounded by corruption, interest groups, and lobbyists.
Joe Sestak is certainly someone to watch in the Senate. Despite the obstacles, he has found a way to win a seat in the US Senate. As the Kikuyu of Kenya say, “A man is not a man until he has a house of his own.”
