The formation of a new coalition to lead England is a good lesson in democracy for the US. The US political system is broken. Two political parties — Democrat and Republican – do not give enough choice to the people.

America needs a third political party that can swing the power of the Senate based on the will of people.  What Americans call “independents” are not an organized political group. Independents are more likely people who are tired of the same old political parties.

People have the power, but for some reason Americans whine more than act. The anti-incubent movement will not bring a lot of change in American politics. Americans still have a lot to learn from other democracies. If not, they will shock the world again by not being able to organize clean and successful elections.

Clearly, what was good last century does not work well today. American Democracy needs to change with the times. The people do not trust their elected officials. As the Arabs of Algeria say, “A book that remains shut, is but a block.”
