Americans are still very divided over the bailout of banks and automobile companies. Even economists are divided over the effects of that massive bailout. The best way that the American people can see that their government is in their side is for it to reform the financial sector.

Sometimes Americans do not like to hear or see the truth. It is unimaginable that the banking industry had to be bailed out by taxpayer money, and still Americans will close their eyes and resist banking reforms. Do Americans have a short memory? Or do Americans enjoy the reckless practices of the banking industries and financial firms?

For sure, if nothing is done to stop these organizations who think about profit first, the same thing will happen again. As the Duala of cameroon say, ” If you close your eyes to facts, you will learn through accidents.”
