Charles Rangel Steps Down: A tree is best measured when it’s down.

While many see the fall of Senator Charles Rangel as the fall of a “Black political figure” (since America sees things in term of color), I see his fall as the end of a crook who happened to be Black and Democrat. It is unbelievable to hear that, still, he’s planning to run again for reelection after a series of scandalous news about him. Instead, Senator Rangel should quit and apologize to those who elected him. Those Blacks who voted for him because of his skin color should think twice. American senators are corrupt: Democrats and Republicans, Black and White. Mr Rangel is certainly not a saint. As the Igbo of Nigeria say, “A tree is best measured when it’s down.”
