The euphoria among the conservatives after the surprise victory of Scott Brown in the Massachusetts special election is a delirious happiness. Many in the GOP already see this fresh figure as their next leader, their next presidential candidate.
The GOP has the right to dream, especially after a long period in the dark. But the question is, what type of Senator Scott Brown will be and what he has in common with the ultra-conservatives.
Despite his election, Scott Brown is not the magic solution for a broken political party. The GOP still needs to reorganize and attract new voters. More work still needs to be done. As the Kongo of Congo say, “A bald-headed man will not grow hair by getting excited.”
