It’s hard to believe your own ears when Pat Robertson uses insensitive words such as “cursed” and “made a pact with the devil” to blame the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Likewise, Rush Limbaugh is working to discourage aid to Haiti. They have a total disregard for human life.

Poverty is not a choice. Slavery and colonialism are bad things and the French have to accept a lot of blame. It is stupid to create controversy at the time the world is mourning.

Mr. Limbaugh and Mr. Robertson should keep their opinion to themselves.  Racism and hatred will not guarantee them a place in heaven; more likely, in hell. Unfortunately, as the Arabs of Egypt say, “The soul of a fool is always dancing on the tip of his tongue.”
