The populist and controversial South African president Jacob Zuma married his third wife on Monday in a traditional Zulu ceremony. This is his fifth marriage. He has 19 children.

Polygamy is legal in South Africa but also a controversial subject. As head of state, he didn’t show any sign of shame for setting a bad example in a country with one of the highest AIDS infection rates in the world.

How will Mr. Zuma take care of his wives and children without touching South African public funds? He was implicated in corruption allegations. Too bad for South Africa! As the Vili of Congo say, “The bird, which flaps its wings too much, will drop its feathers.”
