What is bad luck for one man is good luck for another.

Thierry Henry, the famous French soccer player and one of the best players on the planet, is certainly the most hated player in Ireland after France (with the help of Henry’s hand) eliminated them from the upcoming World Cup in South Africa. As in any other sport, sometimes the referees just miss an important call. For sure “les Blues” ( the French national soccer team) were in trouble facing a determined Irish team.

This story was big news in the world. It also re-awoke the animosity between the French and the Anglo-Saxon. Even in a country like the United States where soccer is still at a primitive state, the media took the news like Ireland was part of the United States.

France had just a lucky day. As the Ashanti of Ghana say, “What is bad luck for one man is good luck for another.”
