When a chick ignores its mother’s warning, the eagle grasps it for a meal.

Both Democrats and Republicans are claiming victory for the latest elections in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York. Regardless of which side you are on, the truth is that when the economy is bad, people reject the political party in power. This election is a referendum on the president, but it is also a referendum on Democrats for not being able to deliver on all their promises.

The Democrats act like a minority party. These elections are a clear warning to the president and his fellow Democrats that they can lose their majority in the upcoming midterm elections if they do not put people back to work and act on their health care promises.

As the Songhai of Mali say, “When a chick ignores its mother’s warning, the eagle grasps it for a meal.”
