The US Government says the GDP grew 3.5% in third quarter, certainly suggesting the beginning of the end of the economic recession. However, this good news was not followed by the falling of the unemployment rate.
For those who have lost a job or are in search of a job, the days are long. Critics have a tendency to forget the worst parts and expect a quick fix. Behind the president is his economic team, the architects of this recovery. Like a mechanic fixing a broken car, it takes patience and time to get things right.
The ideal would be an increased GDP and creation of more jobs. Time will tell. As the Arabs of Egypt say, “A beautiful thing is never perfect.”
