More desperate than a drowning person.

Not having been born in America, I always wonder how the American people have given so much power to the insurance companies to the point even doctors are hostages of them.

Money has succeeded for years in buying the political consciences to not make changes in the direction of helping their people. What type of people run these companies? It is cruel to deny someone who is dying access to health care simply because of a pre-existing condition.

The latest insurance lobbyists’ ad on TV is showing a sign of desperation from the insurance companies because the loss in earnings will be billions of dollars. The health care reforms which were a myth in the US are about to become reality. Meanwhile, those who have a lot to lose are throwing their last sparks of energy into the battle. As the Berber of Algeria say, the insurance companies are “more desperate than a drowning person.”
