Obama and Chicago have lost their bid to host the 2016 Olympics to Brazil. Obama’s rhetoric was not enough to overcome longstanding anti-American sentiment that had been deepening in recent years.

The loss of Chicago is a victory for Obama’s political opponents. The shock is huge! President Obama’s failure to bring the Olympics to his hometown has given the conservatives their first good news in a while.
