Liberal Democrats failed Tuesday to inject a government-run insurance option into the proposed health care legislation. It is disappointing for those who gave their faith to the Democrats and President Obama to change things in Washington.

If Democrats fail to deliver affordable health care to each American, they risk losing everything in the next elections. Theoretically, the Democrats have enough senators to conduct the reforms without the Republicans, but their division will cost them a lot of votes in the future. As the Akan of Ghana say, “The family is like the forest: if you are outside, it is dense; if you are inside, you see that each tree has its own position.”
