Ignorance doesn’t necessarily kill you but it makes you sweat a lot.

This week we had a little break from health care debates. It is time to look back and realize how passion combined with ignorance can lead to extremism.

Looking back to the “tea-bag madness” on health care in Washington, I realized that many of those who protested that day did not know why they were there. It is simply shameful to see all the signs that contradict the real motivations of the protests in the name of “democracy” and “free speech”. I sincerely do not understand how President Obama can be called a “communist” and a “Nazi“. For those who know history, mixing both is like adding water to oil.

I have to give credit to the conservatives through Fox News, lobbyists, and drug companies for being able to mislead an impressionable group of people based on rumors. As the Creole of Sierra Leone say “Ignorance doesn’t necessarily kill you but it makes you sweat a lot.”
