The latest news about the CIA handling of terrorist prisoners has brought the Bush era into the limelight again. Even though many people see the CIA activities as torture, the question is: who is more evil than who, the terrorists or the CIA agents? These terrorists are not angels.
Nobody can estimate the success or the failure of collecting information from terrorists by torture. America is naked — everything is wide open. Sensitive information that shouldn’t be discussed in public is on the national news. American enemies learn about American through American networks. Torture is wrong but, as the Swahili of Tanzania say, “It’s nice to throw a spear to a pig, but painful when thrown to you.”
