The death of Michael Jackson has stunned the world like an atomic bomb. Death is always news; but, the death of the King of Pop makes you feel like you’ve lost a family member or a close friend.

He certainly was one of the greatest performers in music history. He was a genius, a true legend. He influenced the world’s music and was also a true symbol of America. He was a colorless singer for which blacks and whites in America would agree. His death is a pure tragedy.

For all the fans around the world, it is a sad day. He will be missed. As the Baluba of Congo say, “Death is like an eagle that snatches away a chick and leaves its mother in tears.”
