Bribery makes both parties happy.

Many people die every year from tobacco-related diseases. In fact, cigarettes are the main cause of preventable deaths. Today, congress sent legislation to the White House granting the federal government the authority to regulate and restrict cigarettes. The FDA will require tobacco companies to reveal the contents of their products.

The question is, because the FDA is seen by some people as corrupt, how will tobacco companies bribe the FDA. Money talks, it can buy minds. I am skeptical about how well the FDA will handle the tobacco companies when so many other things such as chemicals, baby formula, or dog food “made in China”, has passed in front of the nose of the FDA. As the Arabs of Algeria say, “Bribery makes both parties happy.”
