President Obama‘s speech at the University of Notre Dame has taught us the courage and also the wish of a man who knew that the best way to talk about differences is to face them. The president chose to accept and to address a community that disagrees with him on pro-life issues.

Words are what they are — once they leave the mouth, they disappear. I am curious to see how the pro-life and pro-choice camps can come together to find a way the surpass their differences. Abortion is a very painful topic. It’s all about women making tough decisions. No matter to which side you belong, it is your personal decision between yourself and your God. If everyone thinks about their own mother’s decision to bring them into the world….

I see humanity as a big village with different colors and cultures. I am not sure how much human beings understand the phenomena of life. There are many questions unanswered. Science doesn’t have all the answers about life.

Killing is wrong. At the same time, it is difficult to understand how desperate those who choose abortion are. It is not necessary to think who is right or wrong. It is wrong to demonize the pro-life supporters and condemn the pro-choice. Life is precious. But, as the Arabs of Algeria say, “Sometimes even the intestines and the stomach disagree.”
