Doctors around the US are reporting a sharp increase in the number of vasectomies. Definitely with the economy down, families across the country are taking drastic resolutions to spend less. The desire to have less children is due to how expensive childcare and health care are. This economic situation explains how finances determine reproduction (number of kids). The question is, are they cutting other luxuries such as cellphones, extra cable channels, eating out?
I have to say, it is a very difficult decision for a man. Some men who have done this have some regrets. Conservatives will see such a move as irresponsible. But, if finances are low it makes a lot sense. As the Indians of South Africa say, “A man without money is like a bow without arrows.”
