The US Military will offer a path to citizenship for immigrants living in the US with temporary visas. It is shameful when you think that the military is not recruiting enough people because of two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan. How many young men and women, born American, were recruited after 9/11, shipped to Iraq, and came back in coffins?

For many foreigners, becoming American is certainly a dream come true. But, becoming American out of desperation, putting their own lives in harm way, is just sad. Not only is the Army a school for killing, but the Army is also an “vehicle” to the cemetery. Necessity can make people creative in a very cruel way. As the Berber of Algeria say, “Necessity changes a lion into a fox.”
