President Bush offered an emergency loan of $13.4 billion to two of the big three automakers. Nobody knows if this money will make a difference in being successful in the future. The automakers have many challenges in the next three months: improving the quality of their cars in the long term and selling their products. Otherwise they will face bankruptcy. Due to their history of failing, there are no great expectations for their success. As the Berber of Algeria say, “Going to bed without dinner is better than waking up in debt.”
