All around the world, people are watching and commenting on the video of the Iraqi journalist throwing shoes at George W. Bush. For some, Muntadar al-Zeidi is a hero. For others, it was a humiliating moment for the Iraqi government and also for Bush supporters. George Bush reacted quickly and avoided being hit. A good thing, because the president’s body guards reacted slowly.

Bush handled the attack very well and even joked about it afterward. He has seen so many protests against him, I would say that he’s “immune” to it. As the Haoussa of Niger say, “The drowning man is not troubled by rain.”
