Life is hard. Life is even harder when you are stupid. The big news in the media is the arrest of the Illinois Governor, accused of trying to sell president-elect Obama‘s Senate seat. Last week, he showed up in Chicago to support a protest by laid-off workers at Republic. He said, responding to the press, “Go ahead and tape me,” and added that he had “nothing to fear from wire tapping.” These comments suggest that he knew or “smelled” that the fed was behind him for while.

How in the world was Rod Blagojevich able to sacrifice his honor and reputation for money? His actions were foolish. He risks up to 30 years in jail, if convicted. As the Mossi of Burkina-Faso say, “The most stupid chicken always challenges the wildcat.”
