In an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, president-elect Barack Obama said “Days of pork as strategy are over”. I have to say that he took me by surprise. He has so many challenges ahead, I can’t imagine how he’s going to stop the “legal corruption” tolerated by the American people. Corruption in America is not different from corruption in Nigeria or Bangladesh. Always the people are the ones that suffer the most. As the Swahili of Kenya/Congo say, “Bribery is the enemy of justice.”
