In Papua New Guinea, women are killing male babies to end tribal war. The women think that male children are a synonym for more war, therefore, more killings between tribes. It is tragic and regrettable that women have to make such a drastic decision. Killing to end killing is just wrong. Unfortunately, tribalism is a gangrene of our world. We have seen all the extreme cruelties in Rwanda, in Iraq, and Afghanistan. As the Kongo of Congo say, “Two tribes quarreling do not share the same village.”
