Warren Buffet, the world’s second richest man, is one of the ultra-rich Americans who gave a big donation in 2008 despite the worst economic and financial crisis in decades. He and Bill Gates gave away more than $1 billion this year to fund education and global health initiatives. Warren Buffet shows often his solidarity with the poor, showing very much that he’s a man of compassion. As the Bambara of Mali say, “It’s not the hand that gives, but the heart.”
