A few weeks after the election debacle — and after several weeks of firing back against her detractors — Sarah Palin is back in the news for the interview that she gave at a turkey farm while turkeys were being slaughtered in the background.

No one should be surprised by her lack of compassion or sensitivity regarding animal rights. One of her pictures was with a rifle in front of a dead moose, smiling. She justifies such a shameful picture as “Alaskan tradition.” As the Bambara of Mali say, “Where there is no shame, there is no honor.”
