The Vatican forgives John Lennon for his Jesus Christ remark, declaring that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ. The remark was made to a London Newspaper in 1966. That remark infuriated Christians in the United States. I don’t know if I should laugh or get mad… how can the Vatican, who seems to have so many problems to handle the pedophile priests and other sins carried out “in Jesus name”, hold this against one of the most talented people of our century for expressing his opinion?

John Lennon is a true legend, one of the greatest song writers of our century. Why wait 28 years after his death to forgive him? No matter what, John Lennon doesn’t need Vatican “approval” to be in heaven. As the Bassa of Cameroon say, “A man who points his finger at another has three pointed back toward himself.”
