During his acceptance speech, president-elect Barack Obama informed his two beautiful daughters, Sasha and Malia, that they have earned the new puppy they’ve been asking for. Since then, all kinds of speculation are going around. Some psychics are predicting the color and the the origin of the “new first puppy”. Some are speculating that the Obama family will adopt a hypoallergenic dog from an animal shelter or maybe the dog will come from Peru. As always, America enjoys making celebrities. The future Obama family dog is already a celebrity. But, as the Bateke of Congo say, “The dog of the chief of the village is not the chief of the dogs of the village.”
