The presidential election is over. Joe the Plumber is not in the news but another Joe is in the news lately: Joe Lieberman. Joe Lieberman is a Democrat who turned independent, broke with his party over the war in Iraq and is a strong supporter of John McCain. Obviously, he made enemies in the Democratic party. Now that the Democrats won the majority in the Senate, many Democrats want to punish Lieberman for harsh criticism of Senator Obama in a speech at the Republican convention. He promised to “work” with the newly elected president but the Democrats are still very bitter. As the pygmies of Congo/Gabon say, “The antelope who is constantly moving will fall in a pit.”
