The newly elected President of the United States, Barack Obama, held his first press conference on Friday to talk about the transition period and the current economic news. President Obama knew what to expect from the legacy of George Bush’s administration. The economy is bad: people losing their homes, unemployment increasing, and thousands of jobs being lost since the beginning of the year.

What crossed my mind before the press conference was that I was going to see a worried man. Instead, I see a “cool” man , very composed and surrounded by an impressive number of economic advisers. He showed clearly that he has a plan to overcome the greatest economic challenges of our lifetime. As the Mbochi of Congo say, ” Hot water doesn’t burn a cloth.”
