It is very sad to hear that Senator Barack Obama’s grandmother passed away in Hawaii, even though we all knew that she was gravely ill. Madelyn Payne Dunham played an important role in the life of her grandson. She was about to witness her grandson become the President of the United States. She should be proud. It is sad to see that she died a day before the elections. I watched the Senator of Illinois speaking at UNC Charlotte this afternoon. I saw a broken man, an emotional Barack Obama who spoke about his loss for a few minutes and then went back to his message. As the Mursi of Ethiopia say, ” If the heart is sad, tears will flow.”
